Meet Lynne: From Sketchbook to Windows
Hi, I’m Lynne — the designer, dreamer, and founder behind Hotcurtain.
In my late twenties, working as an interior designer, I noticed a frustrating pattern. I would design stunning, character-filled rooms for my clients, only to hit a wall when it came to window treatments.
The market was flooded with two extremes: overpriced custom drapery that took months to deliver, or bland, mass-produced polyester curtains that killed the room's personality. Where was the middle ground? Where were the curtains with soul?

The Spark Behind "Hotcurtain"
The turning point came during a challenging home renovation project. I needed drapes that felt artistic, rich in texture, and distinctively edgy — something that felt warm, vibrant, and alive. Unable to find what I envisioned, I bought a bolt of raw linen-blend fabric, pulled out my trusty sewing machine, and spent days of focused dedication crafting them myself.
When the morning light hit those finished panels, transforming the entire space into a cozy, golden haven, I knew this wasn't just a one-time solution. It was a calling.
I named the brand Hotcurtain because to me, "hot" isn't just about heat — it’s about passion, trend-setting aesthetics, and unmistakable energy.
From One Sewing Machine to a Passionate Team
What started as a solo creative journey soon blossomed into a vibrant studio. Along the way, I was fortunate to meet like-minded partners who shared my obsessive eye for detail and commitment to quality. Together, we built the dedicated core team that powers Hotcurtain today.
